I've been looking up information about this for the past few days (it was only announced on the 23rd-24th), trying to figure out what this is.

I am really glad that Marvelous is trying to make the whole Family Life thing more of a part of the game than a side thing, because most of the time, the story is saving the Island or something along those lines.
