Favorite setting and characters to write Options

For the writers among us... which characters, and which setting (well, HM game in general I suppose) are your favorites to write about? The farmers can be included, and predetermined kids (like the rival children, or your child from the Forget-me-not Valley games) are too. OCs, though... well, they don't really count, for obvious reasons.

I'm just curious as to how favorites tie into actual game-related preferences (maybe your favorite character to write may not necessarily be your favorite character in general).

I, for one, am simple - I know Mineral Town best, and most of my stories are set there as a result. It's tight-knit and lively, the setting is beautiful, and you get a real feel for how characters do and would interact with and to each other.

I particularly love to write Popuri and Won (mainly because their extreme reactions are a riot, and I love making Won as shamelessly slimy and moody as possible). Mayor Thomas can be a real blast on the rare occasions I pen him, too - he reminds me of the Mayor of Townsville.

(Kai's my favorite character, but he's... not easy for me to write well.)

I've also written a few different variations of the Harvest Goddess (ranging from lulzy to serious). One actually was her being bouncy and meddling, but it written before her "TA-DAAAA!" personality from the DS series. I almost feel responsible, except my rendition drank and watched the Super Bowl. And meddled in love lives.
