So, I feel silly I initially posted this over in the.. what was it, town square? town center? Anyways.. I will re-say what I said, haha.
Alright, so I'm Baby, and I'm new here. I just joined up! Though I've been lurking for a while. I am currently playing Animal Parade! I bought it when it came out, but I only got to two bells, I decided to pick the game up again, I restarted and now I am on the last bell (it's a stupid bell >P) I got to thinking that there must be a few internet forum sites that are awesome for me to join up at that is HM related! And behold. I've seen FOGU, that place before, but I'm not certain if there is a forum board there ^u^ So here I am. I think this place will be fun to be apart of. My interests are typical, I like Anime and Manga, Movies, Books, and I am also a collector of Ball jointed dolls! (BJD.) I also think this is cute --> (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-iia.png) (just noticed it!!) Anyways, if you'd drop me a little Hay and a little Ho I would be greatful! Thanks! |

Hey Baby ;) No, that wasn't suppose to sound sleazy.
Welcome lol, it's all good, I deleted the ones out of the town square. Do tell us what you've been lurking..the site, forums, wiki? Just curious ;) Fogu has a forum, if you're into very large forums. We have a small and very loyal fanbase here, though. ;) Do tell about the BJD's, any Zelda figures? =o Beware of anyone who offers you purple marshmallows.. >.> Have fun! |

Oh, forgot to ask, what kind of ball-jointed dolls? Are we talking Luts dolls, or something similar? Do you have any loyalty to a particular maker?
Ball-jointed dolls can be extremely expensive depending on the size, brand, and type... Do you buy them yourself or is this a hobby your parents/guardians pay for? |

It is a pleasure to met you. I like AP too.
Do you have other HM games. And have you tried Rune Factory? I've never seen a ball jointed doll in real life before. But they looked cool in this one picture I saw. Also would you like join any of the many fan clubs I have started (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ? I don't care if you don't know who those people are. I just need more members. /kidding. They are not real clubs. Which is pretty obvious actually |

Hey ho! Welcome to the forums, Babe. Xq
I feel dirty saying that. Yes, our community is small. So help by sticking and posting in the forums. I hope you enjoy your time here. ^-^ And I'd like to see photos of those dollies you have. |

@jason: Thanks! And I didn't think it was sleazy hehe ;) It comes with the name. The forum is mainly what I've lurked, and I've just basically tried to see what kind of community this is and what I should expect. I am apart of one forum that's huge, I like the big ones for your ability to remain invisible but I think for a HM board I think I would like a place that is more close and casual. As for Ball Jointed Dolls.. They are incredibly expensive dolls made mainly of resin (some are vinyl) and they are completely customizable. You can change their face up (make up) and change wigs and eyes. They are incredibly fun. I have 25 of my own.. but they are incredibly expensive, I n a way that most people wouldn't understand why I would collect them then. (But it's really no different than people who collect bottle caps, porcelain dolls ect.) I personally don't have any Zelda figurines or cosplays for my dolls, I do have other figurines though.. and other people make their dolls into characters too.. like these:
http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs42/f/2009/130...kozuki_sama.jpg http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs28/f/2009/239...ethystArmor.jpg http://th07.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/I/2010...ssed_Puppet.jpg As you can see some are better than others. I do however like me some legend of Zelda x3 What are Purple Marshmallows though? Or is it just a fact I should accept (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) @MizukithePanda: Hello! Thanks for the welcome! I don't mind if it's slow, I'll just try to participate as much as possible! (Nice Set btw) As for my BJDs (glad to see another who likes them or is interested) I pay for all of my own dolls, I have got dolls in the past that were partially paid for by a friend or a parent for a present, but mostly it's all my money. I don't really have a brand or company loyalty, but I do like Luts, though I do not own a Luts myself. I have... 5 Angel of Dream, 1 Ringdoll, 2 Bobobie/Resinsoul, 1 Fairyland, 2 Dollzones, 6 IMPLdolls, 1 Dollmore, 1 Boy&Girl, 1 Everpurple, 3 Soom, 1 Seedsdoll and 2 Dragon Dolls. Along with 4 Floating heads (1Boy&Girl, 1 DragonDoll and 2 ANotherSecret) and 4 or 5 incoming/layaways. @Rebecca: Thanks for the welcome, Why are you a non gamer? Is it just you haven't the chance to get a game or are you just chill about it and like hanging here hehe.. regardless, I'm sure we'll get along fine! @Oscar: Thanks! I am sure I'll get along here x3 @Master Mind: Haha, Thanks, I figured I wasn't the only one. @ Pumpkin Patch: I Do have other HM games. AWL, AnWL, ToT, HM64, B&G, DS, DSCute and some others of which the names escape me. I've tried Rune Factory, but I guarantee you I remember nothing about it. I think I have Number 1 or 2 of it... though I cannot remember.. I might have some pictures of my own BJD hiding and I might post them at some point for people.. :) As for clubs? ;) we'll see about that. @Charmy: I'll try to be as active as possible! I might post some doll pictures in the future, we'll see ;) @Noviwan: Thanks for the welcoming! |

I've wanted a Luts doll (in particular a Delf Soony) for about six or seven years now. Back when I first wanted one it would've cost me $600 just for the doll... Now I can get a brand-new one for about $425, but that's still far too much for me to just throw out there on a doll.
Ball-jointed dolls first caught my interest through people dressing them up as popular anime characters, though, I honestly don't think I'd want one for those purposes. I'd probably be weird and want my doll to be its own character with a backstory, notable appearance, and a personally designed costume or something. I've always liked the customizability - the fact that you can literally change everything. I'm a little surprised that you pay for them yourself. Collecting them is a really expensive hobby to undertake. But good on you for taking it up yourself. Most people wouldn't. Another question. Do you just buy clothing for them from the makers and private designers or do you make clothes and other accessories/items for them yourself? |

I am a nongamer because I do not physically own any harvest moon or rune factory games. Nor does any of my gaming family (a.k.a. my brother). A friend of mine in real life told me about some of the crazy stuff that happens here, and a comic that she and a friend of hers (used to) make. I joined mostly for that.

@Mizuki: Ooooh Soony is incredibly adorable :3 I have wanted a Dreaming Elf Shiwoo from luts forever now.. such pretty closed eyes. Actually the first thing that drew me to the dolls was one person on Deviant Art who had their doll done as Brandon Lee in his The Crow Role (great movie btw.)
Yeah, I waited a whole 4 months before purchasing my first doll, a 73cm Dragon Doll Emporer Huang, I saw him in the January and bought hm in June.. I love him so much.. he cost me a good $500.. that is a lot on a first doll especially since I didnt even join any doll forums yet. I personally buy clothes for my dolls, I suck at sewing. @Rebecca: Yeah, regardless, sometimes you are part of the community but dont know whats happening, I joined a Call of Duty thread a while back... had no idea what anyone was talking about.. @Co'coa: No worries, I've on and off lurked without a username for about a year and a half now.. figured I might join up meow. I don't really follow series legit anymore, used to follow Naruto like a plague.. but if I had to say.. it's probably be the pokemon manga, Black bird, and... I guess I buy BLEACH every single time it comes out... but I don't usually read it right away. *Virtual Hug* |

I know we just met in the Bar, but I felt it wasn't a true introduction.
Welcome to the forums! I see you're already really getting to know a lot of the members around the site. Animal Parade is one (if not only) of my FAVORITE Harvest Moon games. See you around! |

I do however like me some legend of Zelda x3 Wow I didn't even know these existed, I just thought you were talking about the ball jointed pose-able figurines or something. Those Zelda dolls are really awesome. =o I can see how unique and interesting these dolls can become, the design possibilities are endless. I used to collect Pokemon plush dolls as a kid. Not hard core, but if I saw new ones at the store I'd always buy them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I'm so cheap in comparison. rofl. What are Purple Marshmallows though? Or is it just a fact I should accept (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) You don't want to know.. and no they are not peeps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Nice to meet you Baby. As everyone else has said, the forums are a bit slow, but the members are very loyal. It tends to pick up a bit after a new game is announced or released. I also lurked this site, but it was mostly the wiki section.
As for the dolls... I'm not a fan... I'm one of those people who saw Child's Play as a kid. I do know a tiny bit though and it would be fun to make a doll that looked like a character from a manga or anime (or an OC). It's kind of like making a sim or a costume. I'm also an Anime/Manga fan myself. What series do you like? (I'm betting Rozen Maiden) Anime can be an expensive hobby too.... They say drugs would be cheaper..... Yet another person has HM64. I've had numerous failed attempts at getting a working copy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the forums! |
