Blondes in Harvest Moon...., Might be just me but... Options

I have nothing against blondes. But seriously Natsume, I have noticed every single blonde (except perhaps Gwen or a few others) has been somewhat associated with bars or have that 'seducing' (true, but it might not be the right word...)) streak in them.

Eve worked at the bar in the SNES version of HM. Muffy worked in Blue Bar. Julia was a character who was more judged by her open shirt and shorts, and Kathy from Animal Parade was quite hot yet worked at the bar. Karen from Mineral Town was an alcoholic.. well sort of haha. All these characters seem...similiar in a way.

Isn't it kind of a stereotype here repeatedly used in the Harvest Moon games? I've just noticed this right now, and I'm not trying to offend anybody.

Also, Chocola and Mai worked at restaurants, Anemone from Wind Bazaar is a maid at a hotel, and Gwen is a tomboyish animal lover. Not all the blondes are sultry. Some are moe. (Or an oddball like Gwen.) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I have noticed the trend with blonde Harvest Moon girls, but there are a lot of stereotypes in Harvest Moon games. Personally I don't mind that much, but I would like to see characters that aren't so predictable. And Mizuki is right not All the blondes are like that. (By the way who is Chocola?)

Chocola... is a character from Harvest Moon: GBC2. She helps run the restaurant with this other lady. She also made a recent appearance in I think.... Farm Store? Or something?

It's not you it's me I really need to get some of those older games. So thanks I now know who she is. Oh and she did come back in a Wiiware game it's called My Little Shop I have not played that either.

I think that may be there archetype of characters. I would be nce if they changed that up a bit. However Miost form The RF series is a blonde and she has nothing to do with a Bar she is just a weird Turnip loving air head.

Blondes in Japan are all fakes and usually slutty as helk, so yeah it's pretty accurate for Japanese standards.

Like said already, there are no real blondes over in Japan so they can only guess. And don't be expecting them to all of a sudden start adding tons of depth to their characters now, they've never done it and never will. There will always be the girl who loooves books and just happens to wear glasses AND is shy.

Don't forget: the protagonist of the "for girl" Mineral Town games (Claire) was also a blonde. She certainly doesn't fit into fit into that "sexy blonde airhead" stereotype, either. (Unless you played her that way by skipping farm work and running around dating all the guys.)

Karen worked at the bar, too, in HM64.

They (the character designers) seem to have prototypes for their characters, and "blonde girl at bar" might just be one of their prototypes. But that doesn't mean all their blondes will be like that. (They seem to have made a "blonde girl at inn who likes to eat" another one of their prototypes, since that occurs with both Maya (ToT/AP) and Chocolat (RF3).)
