Harvest Moon: The Movie Options

Now, I'm sure by now you are expecting some sort of announcement of a Harvest Moon movie, but prepare to be disappointed, because I just deceived you.

So, just wondering, if there was a Harvest Moon feature film with real actors and such, who would you cast as who?

I think Zooey Deschanel should play Mary. Not because they look amazingly similar, but because they are both snuggly and modest. <3

Elli's a little harder just because she's so dowdy. I cast Emmy Rossum, but I also think she's a little skinny for the role. Gain 20 pounds. ;o

I picked Kristen Stewart for the role of Karen (awaits for the onslaught of boo's) just because I think they look kinda similar, and Kristen with her two toned acting could probably pull off the coldness of Karen.

I chose Alyson Hannigan for Ann, because they both have cute, tomboyish features and personalities.

Popuri was probably the hardest choice, considering no one I'm aware of has pink hair, but I chose Brittany Snow. They don't look amazingly similar, but I think Brittany could pull of the bubbly-ness of Popuri.

I'm not sure who could play Jack. That would be a difficult role, even though he wouldn't have any lines. ;o

Well, personally, I think Brittany Snow looks too old to play Popuri. You're probably better off picking someone like whatsherface... Ellen Paige...? Or whoever that was that played Juno. I think she's got the right 'cuteness' factor to play Popuri, though she'd probably have to get into the role somehow. It doesn't seem like her normal acting style.

I have to say that I really disagree with the actress you chose to play Elli because not only does she need to gain about 60-70 pounds, she's also too pretty to play the part. I always see Elli as having a nice, homely face that's not particularly stunning and a plump body. If it were a real movie, casting her would probably have to be done the same way the initial casting for Harry Potter was done... Though, if you could find someone built like America Ferrera who can at least be done up to look more homely than she is, that'd probably work too.

I can't actually see a picture of who you chose for Ann, and I don't recognize the name, so I can't really judge on that.

Everyone else seems to be pretty perfect.

As for Jack... hrm... I can't name any names, but definitely someone who's also fairly homely looking with a slightly stocky build. Jack ain't gonna be no bishie, that's for certain.

I dunno for Jack...but the person that Ose always reminds me of for some reason is John Barrowman...and it's probably a key factor as to why I like him so much. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Personally though, I think any of the Harvest Moon games would do much better as a short TV series.

I think Mary, Karen, and Ann are perfect.

Obviously they would never make an HM game, but if they did it would probably center around one of the plots and have lots of romance. Probably not too much farming though. It would be like a "oh yea, by the way guys, the main character owns a farm. Now you know" type of thing.

If they did a movie, I think I'd prefer it would have the two main characters you can choose from get together. Otherwise, it'd be annoying for someone who likes one bachelor/ette not end up with the MC.

I would love to see the movie if one ever came out but I think in anime with every single one of the harvest moon characters would be awesome!
