Well, I would think it slightly makes sense, since in real life, everybody keeps telling me I sound like my mom, my friends sound like their parents, my brother is starting to sound like my dad, etc. So in my head it only makes sense that new Iroh (it's confusing to just call him Iroh without thinking of Zuko's uncle) sounds like Zuko.
Either that, or I'm just too much of a nostalgic voice fangirl. Maybe it's just one of those things that has to grow on you... And I'd say it's a lot easier to get used to a new character having an older character's voice, than an older character being reintroduced with a completely different voice without having aged. |

Right... but the fact of the matter is that he looks much more mature than Zuko and so that's why the match is totally weird to me. And anyway, I don't know what him being the grandson of Zuko has to do with it, since I'm not sure grandchildren are supposed to have the voices of their grandparents. I mean... unless he inherited the preteen voice gene... LOL. agreed he looks too darn manly to sound like that in my opinion and I see where rebecca is coming from but the dood is a grown man and it just dont fit but again it's just my opinion I don't mind it but I think they could have done different. |

According to the wiki, he's the youngest general ever, and even though his age is undisclosed, it says "young adult" so he can't be past his mid 30's.
At this point I'm just trying to find a logical reason as to why he sounds like that OTHER than to give Dante Basco a cameo. |

omg no ok mako is such a ######. it's pretty obvious he likes korra but is keeping whatever her face is for basically her car maybe? ugh she is so dramatic and all she does is have these fits of jealousy over looks he gives korra and that they ~kissed~. w/e ###### they're cannon THERE'S NO STOPPING IT.
also yeah zuko's VA should not have come back, why did they cast him again as someone completely different? it doesn't even make sense because that character isn't 18 and his VA isn't even that impressive. Spoiler: oh yeah and blood bending is so scary I remember that crazy hag in the forest it gives me the creeps ughhh ya. is that a spoiler? I'll just do it in case. |

I honestly appreciate that he did a cameo. I just feel it could have been better suited to a different character. Maybe it would have made more sense to have him cameo as a random non-bender in the streets, or an Equalist chi-blocker, than as his grandson who definitely older than the voice suggests.

ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!!!!!!
It is still very awkward to hear new Iroh's voice.... I almost called him Zuko a couple of times... This episode threw my emotions all around the place! I was excited, then it was suspenseful, then I was sad, then excited again, then sad again, then finally happy! I will definately have to get used to Spoiler: and one of my friends who's going to be saying "I TOLD YOU SO" about it for the next month after she sees the episode.mako x korra I was surprised at what I did. I actually cried when Spoiler: Tarrlok blew up the boat that he and Amon (should I call him his real name? I can't spell that off the top of my head) were on. I never imagined I could actually feel sympathy for that guy! EITHER OF THEM! |

It's on the avatar wiki, and on the Nick website I believe.
I kinda have the sneaking suspicion that Amon's Spoiler:
still alive, because he's still a waterbender. But I think Tarrlok is actually dead, because he lost his bending. |

Noviwan: Yeah, pretty much what Rebecca said. It's official and everything, so it is true. At least one more season. I think it would be great if they could do three seasons and then end it....
Rebecca: Good point! What I have been wondering is what is the next "book" in the series? You know, how the seasons are split into books? Since The Last Airbender did water, earth and fire and Korra did air, what's next now? Will it just be called "Book: Avatar"? Since we finally get to see a fully realized Avatar? Not that Aang wasn't at the end, but he didn't exactly get as much training as I'm sure Korra has had. |

Well, maybe it'll focus more on Korra's spiritual development, since she's still not as spiritual as the past avatars.
I just hope they don't make us wait three months for the next book like they've done in the past. |

3 months seems like too soon. I always thought each book was a season, and a season is usually once a year. 3 months would be awesome!

Well, we usually waited so long because when the old seasons ended, they hadn't even started on the new ones, or had barely started. But Korra was supposed to be a 12 episode series, but then the fans got excited, so they made it into 26 episodes (the remaining 14 are the next season) and if the studio greenlights it, then maybe a third. So the second season might be sooner, because they've either started it, or are done with it, or are almost done with it, but they've at least known that they were going to do it for a while now.

SPOILERS AND HONOR.
I will never get used to Dante Basco's voice on a face without a scar. Still a W.I.P but... Here you go. (IMG:http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/I/2012/182/f/f/lok__mako_and_general_iroh_by_hmbabydoll-d55jriw.jpg) |
