Google says the game's called Land of Origins. And I'm glad it's gonna take a while for this game to come out, really, since I still don't have a 3DS yet. I'm going to try to not look up much about this game, myself, since I don't want to have to go through the ToT thing again; thought the game was gonna be the best one, but then when I played it, there were no surprises. I also want to be able to go after all the bachelor/ettes without a preference for one, so then I can pick one in the end. I want to do that too, but I like having somewhat on the background on what's going to be in the game/who is. I prefer not to read the backstories or the plot. It'll be interesting to try and and help with the wiki (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I have lazily started the wiki and will randomly be working on it. |

Yeah. All we can do really is translate the information out there. Or if someone already has the Japanese version we can use their information (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) .
Might as well get it started since we have all the information that Epona posted. |

A member on Ushi no tane has the game, and this is what they posted.
Being able to customize the layout of your farm is an interesting feature, but also being in charge of Yamabiko Village's layout as well really makes for a personalized experience. The villagers have specific-style of houses, but you control where their house is located in the village, the decorations that line the streets, if the town even has visible streets, and so on. Besides the farm and town, you can also customize your character. Later in the game you can give your character the opposite gender's hair style and clothing outfits. The first season of the game is rather slow. The game opens up come Summer season, when you can start customizing and building more shops. One interesting aspect of the game are your festival wins. When you attend a contest-type festival, there may be several categories with three different classes within each one; the seasonal crop festivals have a vegetable, fruit, flower, and 'other' categories you can enter your one item into, and within each of those you can enter into the beginner, normal, or intermediate judgement classes. Each class has different grand prizes. When you win a festival, you get a "brand" that will increase the amount of profit you earn by shipping that type of item. Win the cow festival, and now you'll earn more money when you ship milk. Win the cooking festival, and now your shipped cooked recipes earn more as well. |

That's interesting. It'll be epic to have my girl to have a male haircut. The festivals sound interesting. I can actually win first place all the time now.

And now is the time I leave the topic not wanting to know too much about the game.
How they've done the festivals sounds neat, though. ;] |

The festivals sound very cool in this game. It makes it sound worth trying your best to win because it'll effect your gameplay experience overall instead of just giving you a prize that diminishes.

Oh god, If I get this, I've already decided who I'm going to marry. Yuuri's freakin' adorable. <3 Yes... Although I have the problem now of deciding whether to play as a girl and marry Allen first or play as a boy and marry Yuuri first. >:| Festivals sound fun. This will definitely be added to my library of 3DS games. |

According to this report, Land of Origin's first week sales were higher than any other original DS Harvest Moon title. I'm pumped for this game, honestly. <3 |

Guess at least some of those people saying they wouldn't get back to HM until they added character customization weren't lying.

Hey guys, info has been really slow so I don't have any big updates, but apparently you can buy or make a record player and listen to music from old HM games.
And another character is returning, check the link to see who it is. Character picture |

It's a shame that we'll have to wait a year for this at the very best but we're all used to that now

I'm not anymore. I haven't purchased an English version of a handheld title since GBC 3. This new region lock bullshit on Nintendo's handhelds is ###### killing me. >:/
I also want to wait until a new version of the 3DS is out, but that's just so that I can get a 1st gen one for cheaper. I'm seriously aiming to get one for $100 or less. That's all one's worth to me, and really, that's just as a replacement DS since mine is busted. |

YES! No more toddlers for life!
I'm becoming very happy. I feel like they are truly taking all the ideas people have suggested for the past many years and are plugging them all into one game. |

Big news!!! Your kid actually grows up! I'm still looking for pictures of the kids that will show up on this site, sorry. I don't know how I feel about that yet. If it's handled anything like the way they executed that premise in AWL, then I just lost all interest in this game. I play Harvest Moon to grow crops, raise animals, and turn myself into a gosh darn millionaire through micromanagement. I do not play Harvest Moon to devote all of my time and resources to raising a kid. That said, if your kid growing up doesn't actually involve any of the bullshit that was required in AWL, then it's just an added bonus. We'll just have to see. I kind of wish that I owned a Japanese 3DS so that I could test it out and see for myself. >:/ Though, really, I've never minded my kids staying toddlers for life. I always saw them as a fairly useless milestone in the game anyway. |

Don't worry Mizukithepanda, it's a handheld HM.
The kid can only grow up if you do an event that involves giving Royal Jelly to Alice as far as I have heard. I'll keep looking for more information on how the kid works. |
